Welcome to Just The Tip, AskMen’s weekly series where we interview the greatest adult entertainers to get their sex tips and understand why they are so successful. Call it the tip of the iceberg, if you will.
This week, we had the pleasure of speaking to the beautiful and talented jessica drake:
How did you decide on your porn star name?
I was told when I first started working in the industry that I needed a performing name, but I didn’t want anything that sounded fake. jessica was the name of a friend, and I felt like I’d grow to recognize it faster, and drake actually came from riding around with friends in Texas trying to come up with a last name: someone had their finger on a map, someone said “stop!” and it landed on a town called drake.

Who is *your* favorite porn star? (male or female)
As far as performers, I could never just choose one or two, but I adore sex/sex_toys_and_games/asa-akira-fleshlight-review.html”>Asa Akira, Dani Daniels, Ana Foxxx, sex/sex_fantasies/joanna-angel-on-her-porn-career-and-custom-fleshlight.html”>Joanna Angel, Abella Danger, Misty Stone, Adriana Chechik and many more. I also love Mickey Mod, Jiz Lee, April Flores, Venus Lux, Aubrey Kate, Domino Presley, Tyler Nixon, Xander Corvus, Katrina Jade. I could just go on and on…obviously my wish list is constantly growing.
What’s your best porn memory/experience?
There have been a lot of good ones so far, but I’d pick some of the bigger milestones — becoming an exclusive Wicked girl, hosting the AVN Awards, directing my first movie, winning three Best Actress awards from AVN, traveling internationally for Wicked, starting my educational line, and years later being fully recognized as a sex educator. The business has been very good to me. I have Wicked Pictures to thank for all of these things.
What sex lesson did you wish porn co-stars knew?
I wish performers, especially the newer, younger ones, were more educated on sexual health. I also think you should never do anything on camera you wouldn’t do otherwise — things like anal or more extreme sex. I don’t do things because they’re popular or trendy; I do what I enjoy doing.
What porn move do you wish regular guys knew?
None! “Regular” guys already know too many “porn moves.” In porn you’re seeing some pretty unrealistic sex positions that are solely for camera angles, not enough foreplay, anal that seems so easy. I’d rather couples watch porn for entertainment, get turned on, then explore different fetishes or fantasies. But afterwards, don’t expect the identical results. Use it as a tool, but not a guide. That’s where my line of instructional videos come in. jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex teaches anatomy & shares tips & techniques for you to try at home.
What is the most important foreplay move for you?
It does vary with my mood, but I’ve always loved making out. A LOT.
What is your favorite sex toy?
I love all things WeVibe. I like Bodywand & Hitachi, the Luxe Vibes from NS Novelties, the whole BVibe line, and recently, I discovered the Vesper from Crave. I’m a huge fan of clitoral stimulation — can you tell?
What’s on your bucket list? (sexual or otherwise)
I’m currently in pre-production for a big movie that features a few things I’ve been wanting to do for awhile, some scenes I’ve been dreaming of. As far as non-naked work, I have a lot more traveling to do, plus a lot more activism and advocacy work. There is also finally a book in the works.
Finally, anything to promote?
